I've been writing songs, but not many. I've been trying to write more songs and what I end up with isn't great. I was twiddling my thumbs trying to figure out how I was going to find the good stuff, when, out of the blue, a songstress I know suggested we get the "band" back together and start writing to prompts again just like we did for Real Women Real Songs. Awesome.
Turns out I wasn't alone in missing the camaraderie or the regular practice of writing prompts. Many songwriters joined up, we got a prompt and we were given a month to write something (much easier than once a week). I spent the weekend working on it and wrote the final verse yesterday just before church. I wanted to share the video with you here.
The prompt was "continue." This is where that word took me. There are two lines in the song that I think will change, but other than that, I like where it's at.
